"Unzipped" was a mixed media assignment where we were able to create a functioning mask. I chose to incorporate the concepts of both, life and death. Depending on the way you look at it, both can be equally as beautiful. I incorporated flowers to represent the new growth that life gives us. Death is represented by the black skull which is separated by the zipper that runs down the middle.
